Redmi is apparently working on a cheap 5G smartphone that will be powered by a Qualcomm SM6350 SoC. The decent 8-core processor features two performance cores that can reach clock rates of 2.25 GHz. It's rumored that the SM6350-based Redmi 5G smartphone could be priced at a very competitive 1,000 yuan (US$140).
