Title: Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 15-inch Intel Core vs. AMD Ryzen: There is No Wrong Option
Post by: Redaktion on January 08, 2020, 00:00:17
The Intel version will indubitably offer the faster experience, but the AMD version is not really that far behind. Don't beat yourself over for "settling" with AMD if you want to save a few hundred bucks.

Microsoft should have waited for AMD's 4000 update.

As of now, the only "right" option is to wait it out and buy the next generation AMD, jumping right past the 10nm node to 7nm is huge, or having a look at Tiger Lake is reasonable too.
What's no longer reasonable is to buy either of the current gen devices at retail price. Perhaps a refurbished/like new 1065G7 at >30% off, in which case avoid MS as they have a tighter grip on the price.
