Qualcomm already presented the premium mid-range Snapdragon 765G with integrated X52 5G modem, so the fact that the Snapdragon 865 comes with no integrated 4G/5G modem does not make any sense. Unless Qualcomm wants to increase its profit and force OEMs to buy the SoC + 5G modem combo. Financial issues aside, most 2020 flagships could be plagued with overheating, low battery life and poor 5G connectivity.

I was concerned about the competitiveness of Exynos 990 but indeed this is worrying in another manner.
...and the Kirin is largely SD855+, ok, what a year.
Those that will support it, are inferior Chinese brands anyway. Their batteries die in like 6 months, and it'll be nothing but a glorified paperweight.
Those who are wondering about power consumption without integrated 4g/5g modem, apple iphone always had seperate modem and you know iphone battery consumption is good. So no néed to write such lengthy articles.
