The new HP Envy 17 is big, slim and features a powerful combination of dedicated graphics and a Comet Lake-U processor. While its footprint may make it slightly too large for use on the move, it should fit the bill as a multimedia desktop replacement. It is not all good news though, as our review will reveal.

PL1 of 8.5 watts. WHAT?????????????????
Back cover not accessable?
They teased us with a preview of the MSI Prestige 14.
Don't you think fixing the ACPI driver issue would also "fix" the battery rundown time? These models have typically had 8 hours or more in the past.
I think the stats for Prestige 14 and 15 should be included in the charts, since they're also some of the only other 6 core comet lake cpus that have been tested so far.
ops, I see now that this one is quad core, not hexa core.
Hi,
In your review, you indicated the Envy 17T's deficiencies and compared it to some other PCs. My question is what PC(s) out there with the Envy's optical drive, card reader and all it's ports - offers better battery life, display and CPU performance? You have suggested there are better, but do they have those Envy features?
Thanks!
Pete
