It should probably be said that FFXV is a heavily optimzied nVidia title.
Lots of pocket money.

Not really surprising tbh, FFXV is extremely Nvidia biased. The Radeon VII performs slightly below a 1660 Ti in the benchmark, despite being slightly below a 2080 in raw performance

My thoughts exactly. FFXV is known as the worst title for AMD. Although we are not sure how it affects the new RDNA architecture, this is clearly a very biased benchmark. I'll wait for Hardware Unboxed to compare them in 30+ games.

This is a non-story. I buy whatever is the best value at the time. I could care less from which manufacturer. But reporting this, pre-release hardware, with a benchmark known to HEAVILY favor one party, is irresponsible and simple click bait. Why don't you at least show some Ashes of the Singularity benches... We all know they are skewed equally the other way. At least it would be balanced reporting. This is just stupid...

exactly!!!, 5700 XT isn't FULL RDNA ARCH... wait till NAVI 20 people , the navi 20 die is supposed to be full RDNA 100% an is also supposed to be an actual Radeon VII Replacement (VEGA JUNK) using HBM / or / GDDR6

ps: and a benchmark that is coded to run BEST on nvidia is JUST PLAIN WRONG, then add GIMPWORKS (gameworks) to the game and makes the AMD cards  BOG down For real, GEE!!!

Sounds to me just like what Intel did to AMD 10 years ago where Intel deliberately gimped the x86 compiler if it detected an Authentic AMD CPU.... GEE SOUNDS FAMILIAR DONT IT!!!!!

f*** INTEL & f*** NVIDIA, THEY BOTH CHEAT AND STRONG-ARM OUT COMPETITION CUZ THEY WANT A FUCKING MONOPOLY, Intel IS A BIT FUCKED NOW WITH AMD NEW 3000 Ryzen CPU's

Are you telling me AMD's brand new* architecture that hasn't been publicly released yet with even beta drivers; isn't as fast as Nvidia's GPU refresh of an architecture that's been on the market for almost a year with around 20 new drivers and a litany of hot fixes? Say it ain't sooooooo... In the mean time just gonna rock my 1070Ti from before those painful Mining days.

*This AMD GPU isn't pure RDNA just yet by AMD's own admission.

P.s. And that Gameworks, what a "blessing."

A benchmark featuring both Nvidia's GeForce RTX 2070 Super and AMD's Radeon RX 5700 XT has been spotted, and it makes great reading for fans of the green team's products. The Nvidia Super card is way above the RX 5700 XT in the Final Fantasy XV benchmark; however, it's believed this particular benchmark is generally weighted in Nvidia's favor.
