I am gonna dump LG All Products forever and now moving on from LG V30+ to Oneplus & Oppo forever as far as Smartphones are concerned

I'd like LG to explain why the update center is delaying updates further instead of speeding up releases.

I have the LG V30 and I'm still waiting for Oreo.

There must be an issue on your end then. Try updating through LG Bridge (an official LG desktop app for backup and updating).

I like lgs and all but this is making HTC update schedule look good. It's like they want to start rooting thier phone ... Also why TF is the v50. Only on Sprint
.?? You couldn't make a backwards compatible 5g phone. That OnePlus is starting to look real good...

I have a V35 that I keep for the quad DAC. I think I'll just move to Oneplus and get a portable dac amp so I don't have to deal with LG software.

I am thoroughly angry!! I will never, ever, ever buy another LG phone again. I even posted my disgust on Twitter recently about the wait for Pie on my v30. LG sent me a message to DM them. Thinking I was gonna get some answers, instead I got a generic message that did nothing but enfuriate me more. We've been waiting a year for this update that was supposed to come faster with the new update center at LG, announced last year, but  now they wanna push it back further!!! Originally this update was promised in Q1, then pushed to Q2 and as Q2 ends, I wouldn't be surprised if it's Q4 before it actually arrives on my v30. By then, I'll be enjoying Android Q (10)... Not P (9) still, on a new Galaxy or something since Q gets released in August or so officially. LG is horrible. Can't wait until my contract is up and I can upgrade to anything else.

I have an unlocked V35, and I haven't gotten Pie yet.  For that matter, I have had to manually download and install all the updates as LG won't push them to an unlocked phone. Those updates stopped being available 3 months ago so the phone is currently on the March security patch.  There were also other issues with their service, but they don't pertain to the updates.

The phone itself is decent, but LG's service is just awful!  I have no faith in LG to stand behind their products

As a long time 3 models owner over the years I have finally got enough and will get rid of my V30 at the end of this year.,because of LG's lack of updates. And constantly at least once a month having to do a reset boot.
No more LG's for me anymore

Well, they just released Pie for all variants of the V40 and the V35... So, clearly something lit a fire under them...
I suspect that the Pie update for V30 will come in the first 2 weeks of July.

Hopefully the V20 will get Pie as well(came out with Nougat, based on LGs support cycle, Pie should be it's last official upgrade.)

Yet another miss by Lg! It's been like this for years: Lg promises a phone update that either is not delivered at all, not delivered in time, or delivered only to their South Korean market simply ignoring the rest of the world. And let's not start discussing the bootloop and hardware problems their handsets had.

Owning a couple of lg handsets made me realize their products are not with the top tier in terms of quality, they steeply depreciate in the first 6-12 months after release, the software updates are non-existent despite what they claim and promise, and sometimes even the hardware has serious flaws. For some reason, they still survive in the mobile arena.

LG does not do itself any favours, does it? The South Korean company has now rowed back on its commitment to bring Android 9.0 Pie to the V30 by the end of Q2. The roll-out has been pushed to Q3 for "essential improvements", with no fixed date for devices outside South Korea. C'mon LG, sort it out.
