So glad I went ahead and upgraded to a p52s a couple months ago...   just about everything that makes it unique is gone now.  Just like the t590 its based on.   The GPU is essentially a rebadged p500...  powerbridge is gone and extended time away from an outlet with it.   No full size SD card slot, no 2.5" drive bay.   Starting at $1499... I wouldn't give them 1/2 that for it.

Also, I am certain there was no "P42s."

Ah, you got my hopes up for a second there. Looks like the P43s is just a T490 with a Quadro P520 (MX150 with 2GB).

The 14-inch ThinkPad P43s and 15.6-inch ThinkPad P53s balance performance with both mobility and price in contrast to the "world's fastest" ThinkPad P53 and P73 alternatives. The P43s and P53s will be both thinner and lighter than their 2018 ThinkPad P42s and P52s counterparts when they launch before the end of July.
