Is it strange that there is not a single review online for these units, yet? They've been released for nearly two months.

I'm interested to buy a 8/256 15" version, but without physical access to them here in the GCC, it's tough to throw out almost US$ 1K, without seeing any actual comments from those in the know. The screen brightness at 275 nits is of particular concern.

Why limit laptops with 16 gb RAM? How much do they save by that?
definitely no if ram is not soldered

How do these compare to the Notebook 9 series? I personally loved my np900x3t, which was less than 1kg and had a 75Whr battery.

These seem to be heavier and have smaller batteries! I'm guessing they will have sturdier chassis, because review sites simply slaughtered the Notebook 9 laptops for their "cheap feel" (I disagree) because of flex in the body.

Re: "Why do they release laptops equipped with gen8 CPUs?"

Intel has not released any 9th gen CPUs that are appropriate for ultrabooks (15W TDP).

Why do they release laptops equipped with gen8 CPUs? We already have gen9, and gen10 is around the corner. Disgusting!

The latest Notebook 7 slim laptops from Samsung should go head to head with Huawei's MateBook models as value-oriented alternatives for Apple's MacBook Pro and Microsoft's Surface. The Notebook 7 lineup features configurations with gen 8 Intel CPUs, up to 16 GB of RAM, up to GeForce MX260 and GTX 1650 GPUs and thin bezel 1080p displays.
