Something weird in this review:

Why you say its a good gaming tab and then give a ridiculous bad note? Same for application? Sorry, this is stupide, the average note of this tablet should be above anything else. If you buy a light case, the low weight lets you carry this during hours without any bad heavy feeling in your hand...this is the only tab 10.5 so light, with such a good screen and enough power for gaming.
I am very demanding with hardware, I often consider very seriously notebookcheck to make a choice.

This Tablet deserves between 95 and 100%. Period

Bought it, as I broke my tab s 10.5

extremally satisfied, blown away by the speakers and performance, and love using Dex, making it a micro laptop. One thing I find worse than the s 10.5 is that the blacks dont seem as black (the screen is quite reflective) and colours aren't as vibrant. So i'll be buying Tab s 10.5 again anyway lol.

Still, great device for that price.
LOL you do know that the LEDs are turned off in AMOLED screen??
it is not like they are on a little if you have actual black?? then they are off and it is inky black.
off or on?? you do get that...it is not like fx Ipads where some IPS have better black level then others, also why there aren't any black level values on the stat-table..
and what tab S device are you talking of that should have more black than S5e and you wanna have instead?
Tab S6 are identical though with a slight worse panels spec, like a slightly dimmer screen and worse DeltaE & DeltaEmax and worse brightness seperation.. (check the review here)
S5e is top of the pop, it doesnt get any better on a 10.5" tablet the S6 is in the same ballpark as same 1600p panel and the slightly dimmer screen in S6 is likely down to HDR10+

Great review, I was very interested in the performance results of the 670. One question: what do you mean about the Tab S4's "high capacity RAM"? I believe tab S4 has 4gb while the s5e has 4gb or 6gb.

Thanks for the review! When I watched 4K videos on YouTube that had lots of dark scenes I noticed horrible black crush and banding. My own Xs Max made it look horrible. I had to return it. I can't wait until Apple releases a Samsung Display iPad now!

Did you notice any of this in reviewing?

The Galaxy Tab S5e looks a lot like the Galaxy Tab S4. However, while the latter is currently Samsung's flagship tablet, the Tab S5e is significantly cheaper at nearly 400 Euros (~$448). The midrange tablet is about 20% lighter too. Samsung has not skimped on hardware to save on costs though, which could make the Tab S5e a better choice for some people than its more expensive sibling.
