1 year later, and Dell has not fixed the issue. In fact, the latest driver and BIOS update actually makes the DPC latency problem worse. Dell is clueless. MSI often writes good drivers, but I've had there laptops fall apart in a little over a year. Apparently, nobody makes  a good laptop with a 4K color-correct screen suitable for audio/video editing.

Well, maybe not 4k, but Apple appears to have somewhat paused at being silly with the MBP16.

Beyond Annoyed. Like a lot of ppl got fooled by the specs on the XPS which, on paper, would be a great laptop for music production.

Really regret not just biting the extra $2000 bullet on a mac. Not been happy with apples trends but at least on mac you can reliably make music. The XPS is just collecting dust while I continue to use a 10 year old macbook pro. It feels like this problem will never get resolved or if it does some future update will screw it up again.

My next Dell will come with pledge cards instead of features.

Dell, you tease. After going quiet having missed its last deadline to fix the XPS 15 9570's DPC latency issues, the company has now given a new date by when it plans to release a solution. Hopefully, it is not just breadcrumbing owners with this revised schedule.
