Also, being a Dell Rugged Extreme, when dropped, it bounces, and it makes a great Offensive/Defensive blunt object should a would-be mugger try and take it. Also, if anyone has stuck a larger than 2TB PCIe inside the standard/primary hard drive slot and it works, please tell me what specific hard drive you put in, as I would like to stick a 4TB hard drive or larger in it? I know that every inclination of this model can take double the maximum RAM suggested, too., so if anyone has experience of this please let me know.

I bought one of these 2nd hand for 500£. I filled it up with 32 GB of ddr4 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe x16 Gen3, mainly so I can mine crypto but also for the desktop performance when travelling. This laptop can play 95% of all my games in various configs. It has difficulty doing VR, but I believe it is possible through its wifi, which is 5GHZ. It will play anything from 2019 or before. I mainly use it to play Medal of Honor 2002/3, Quake 3, Black Desert, and Red Dead Redemption 2, and apart from the latter, all in 1080p, the latter being 720p. It plays No Man's Sky and all the Borderlands Series, and Satisfactory. I also have a Class A Highspeed microSD/SD that holds all my games circa 2004 or earlier, and they play like you are playing on a normal SSD. I like to think it is perfect, but the HDMI is not able to play VR through it. I have yet to try the display port.

Even 2nd hand this is a nice piece of kit with its AMD RADEON RX 540 4GB. Surfing the internet with its massive memory helps with multiple windows, and I have tested it with multiple portable monitors, it runs great for everything but not games, but it easily can port to a 65-inch monitor.

The cheapest I have seen one of these 2nd hand is under 3K£, but occasionally you will see one for under a 1000£ if you want full desktop portability and it has a GPU for modern gaming, I recommend it, as I have owned the last two inclinations of this model too (XFR and 7404) the former could only play games circa 2004 or earlier and the latter could play modern games too.

The Latitude 7424 Rugged Extreme is an absolute tank. The Latitude 7424 wraps a competent computer in a dust-tight and water-resistant shell that can take a beating without much fuss. However, this durability comes at a high cost - weight and size.
