Do you think now would be a poor time to buy a non-RTX gaming laptop then? I'm wondering how far a 6gb 1060 will get me, assuming a new generation of consoles will jack up system requirements for new games...

There's a great deal of anticipation in the gaming community for the PlayStation 5, or whatever name Sony gives its next-generation console. It seems that some can't wait for the real thing though, and an increasing number of "leaks" of PlayStation-related hardware are starting to appear on social media.
