I can't quite get the reason why so many people would get a new 4g phone with 5g rolling out in a month.

Because it cost too much. If you're referring to the s10 5g, that's like an extra $500 compare to the s10+.

Yeah, I don't get it why people are so against Trump and MAGA either.

BTW. 5G isn't rolling out everywhere. In fact, it's in very few places should you realize there are other countries in the world besides the US.

The S10, S10+ are both very good phones. I don't know why the sales numbers [allegedly] are that much better than last year. The XS Max is also a good phone too.

Right now, it's all about preference, although in the "real world" experience, the S10, S10+ perform slightly faster than any iPhone. It will be interesting to see if that will remain considering the Android OS tends to slow down the user experience over time even if you don't update it.

Personally, I was on the fence whether to choose the XS Max or S10+. I went with the XS as there are more accessories available for it and is better built to withstand falls (as many tests prove). Still, both phones are good.

I might consider the Pixel 4 when it comes out due to its low light functionality. Cost wise, the One Plus is also a contender mainly due to reduced proprietary software like Samsung has. It would be ideal if Samsung made a "vanilla" smartphone.

I picked up the standard version of the S10 yesterday, 5G has already been implemented on it. I would aslo say that after switching from standard 4G LTE to the 5G on the S10, it does feel faster and downloads are processed faster than on my previous phone.

Cause nobody cares about 5G... 4G is nowhere near its max speed and 5G probably won't be that much faster either... And 4G is good enough for most people... If phone  makers count on 5G to sell more phones they will be quite disappointed...

Samsung's newest flagships, the Galaxy S10 trio, were some of the most anticipated devices before they were launched. It would appear that such interest has translated directly into sales, with the devices breaking pre-order records around the world.
