Well, who want to buy XPS will buy it. Me, I cannot afford to spend that much on it: 2500+ euro in my country. So I just bought UX533 last week (1200 euro) and it's wow! Very happy with my purchase. Also, with the rest of the money I will go in some trip in Rome.

This post is SO full of s***. Allen, you are talking so much bullshit.

First, you are comparing a lightweight small form factor laptop, the Zenbook 15 with a workstation laptop aka XPS.... they are not even meant to do the same tasks....

And you forgot to mention all the s*** problems with the XPS series, or are you getting paid to advertise Dell? May I suggest go read notebookcheck-forum!

I had the 9570 XPS 15 and is complete garbage! Worst piece of crap you can buy. It has insanely good battery life and screen, yes.

But no sleep mode, no fan curve, thermal throttling, plastic bezels and a ton of other issues regarding bios.

But of course, you just want to promote the XPS and give a false impression to your readers.

Yeah, you forgot one (very) negligible aspect of comparison such as price. It is same as you would compare Porsche to Volkswagen. This is just not  the same price range. You should consider Asus Zenbook Pro 15 (UX580 successor) for the comparison

Please tell me how much Dell XPS 15 cost in Europe vs how much Asus Zenbook 15 is/will cost? I guess for that price difference you likely can buy a desktop PC or (2?) iPad tablet or a proper vacation somewhere.

BTW who cares so much for the speed of the SD card reader? I really don't know who uses it apart from photographers, youtubers and notebook reviewers which is 0.0001% of people.

BTW2 reviewer you seem to ignore the fact, that Zenbook 15 had about 1 hour advantage in battery life in Load test, which is 50% advantage. Wouldn't potential buyers care for that setting more than speed of SD card reader?

Sorry, but I got once again frustrated by the negligence (and bias?) in important aspects for comparison basis of the test. Otherwise this website rocks!

Whilst you start with a legit point regarding price and also using the wrong Asus computer for comparison I think the rest of your post is shitposting. Just because you don't care about SD card reader speed doesn't mean that they should exclude it, the more information regarding the products the better and the wider the audience it will reach.

Regarding the battery time I think the wifi test is a better indicator on normal usage of a laptop rather than "gaming on the go", which the loading is representing but then I do agree it should have been mentioned.

And well, shouldn't we compare prices? Shouldn't we mention that full keyboard of the Asus? I also miss knowing whether the Asus has enough power for light tasks (like 30 tabs opened) or not, since the 400g is a notorious difference, as it is the lack of bugs (the xps 15 had a ton of them, how is the situation now?)

The worst, I'd say, is the display, but at the end it will always depend on the price, and at least in Spain, if you want a touch display you'll need more than 2K for the laptop!

This comparison isnt quite correct, because UX530 isnt the best from Zenbook series. Better to compare Zenbook Pro 15 (UX580 or UX550) with XPS 15. These two are top models in both of the brands offer in consumers segment

The Bestselling Dell XPS laptop manages to be faster, tougher, brighter, and more feature-packed than the new competing Asus ZenBook 15 without running any louder or shorter. In return, the Asus laptop is much lighter and even a bit smaller, but its advantages don't go much deeper.
