I just find the size and weight of this laptop is just awesome. It's great to travel with it, great to have a decent gpu (mine is the GTX 1050 Ti MaxQ version) in it and the cpu is alright for it's consumption. Too bad they didn't put a Thunderbolt 3 in it. I do get a very acceptable 7 to 9 hours of battery life out of it. I don't understand the negative comments about the keyboard, I find it very crisp and a joy to type on it. If I had to chose only one laptop, it would be this one, but I need several!

HI! Is it possible to add GPU to the version without one (PS63 Modern 8M)?

I have a tricky idea. In my country the only available version is the low model without dedicated graphic. Does anybody know, if there is also slot for GPU, just not filled? Did any of you teared this thing down? How is the GPU connected?

Thank you very much.

I've recently bought this PC and immediately returned it, unfortunately.   :( On/off (energy) button was problematic - has anyone had this issue?!

After unboxing, only on the 3rd attempt I've managed to turn on the laptop. By the day, this problem grew and ended by not being able to turn on the PC at all!   :-[

I've always liked and have been a Lenovo user and decided to try this brand for the great specs (and looks) of this MSI.

Sorry to say, very bad first impressions.

Is it possible to increase the fan speed or power when it is on heavy load. Why this i7-8565 processor is slower than others?
It is possible to speed up the fans. Not sure about power though. When it's in balance or quiet mode fan speeds around 2500-3000 rpm which is absolutely unnoticeable. But you can manually speed it to the around 7000 rpm. I don't care about synthetic benchmarks so I don't know how it's effect the cpu benchmark.

Usually I keep quite, but this time I had to write a "angry" comment!
I cannot understand why they cannot improve on that keyboard... how hard can it be? And the font above everything is just plain ugly! Who thought this was a good font to use?! Take a look at the surface keyboards (or Dell or Lenovo or Apple or HP)... but nobody else complained about it, so maybe it is just my taste  ;D Haha and yes I understand, this is for gamers, but hey some gamers also have an eye for good design.

Plastic chassis, nope nope for my travel needs.  Too much money for mediocre chassis.

Egregiously overpriced and so far off from "premium".

I got the X1 Extreme with i7-8750H and 1050 Ti for $1,200. A mid-range level laptop with GTX 1050 should be starting at less than $1k.

93% for pointing device that has hard to use buttons? 90% for unevenly lit low brightness low sRGB coverage display? Is it just me or is MSI getting some dividends for all the advertisements here by this favourable score? Or is this actually sponsored article and I've missed it?

Another junk with 16:9 screen ratio. No, thank you, I'll wait for a proper laptop.

You can try to run Cinebench R15 Extreme Edition to show the actual performance of the CPU and the Cooling in single run, this Mod renders x4 the scene size and take over 3 times the render time that will extend beyond turbo time and cooling will start to thermal throttle if it's not upto the task.

In Europe, the MSI PS63 8RC actually costs around €1499, rather than €1700, which makes it considerably cheaper than the i7 XPS 9570 (€1900). Also, unfortunately, the i5 8300H variant of the XPS 9570 is always limited to 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD, when buying new. It's a shame for Dell to put such high prices here... but considering these 2 facts, the PS63 seems like the best contender. Too bad for the sRGB score though.

I was looking forward for this, but the color and brightness of display is quite dissapointing.  :(
