That's some mighty hypocrisy. If they were so concerned about the environment, there would be no planned obsolescence. No non-removable batteries, no new models so often and things would have been quite different.

Samsung has announced in a press release its intentions to become considerably more environmentally friendly. The company will ditch product plastic packaging and replace it with various alternatives, including paper, pulp, and other recycled materials. The smartphone manufacturer's revised policy also means that phone chargers will lose their glossy finish.
