Yup, most smartphones use sony sensor, yet, sony are stupid enough to use 20mpxl sensor since sony Z1 which has zero dynamic range and historically either sucks or is the worst of all the phones on the market with zero low light capabilities.
And nobody sane wants to buy 700+ phone with crap camera and they had many problems overall. I remember 2 of my sony phones Z1 and Z3 dying from water..with IP65 certification. And no, they dont repair water damage under warranty.
Sony brings nothing new to the market, nothing interesting, therefore they shall die. Nobody cares about brands like that even if they say "WE REFINE TECHNOLOGY IT TAKES TIME BLAH BLAH". People will just go and buy iphones.

It has been reported that Sony Mobile is considering departing several key markets in the Middle East and Southeast Asian regions. The telecommunications arm of the Japanese tech giant has struggled to keep up with rivals such as Samsung, Apple, and Huawei, and there has been speculation Sony would exit the smartphone market entirely. But Sony fans can relax, the Xperia XZ4 isn't doomed.
