Hello Allen,

Thank you for the in-depth comparison!  I am currently between the Y7000 and Y730.  I am not a gamer, though I do dabble; perhaps this will be my gateway into more serious gaming.

I am mainly buying this for a machine to edit video (1080p and hopefully 4K) in Premiere or DaVinci Resolve.  Is there any reason not to go with the Y7000 considering the price point?  I've identified/configured units for both that are almost identical (Y7000 variant has 144hz refresh and 1060 for almost $400 cheaper).  At this point, I'm just hanging onto the Y730 for it's design (I do not care about RGB keyboard).

Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

David

Lenovo's latest lineup of Legion laptops aims directly for budget-conscious gamers with its fairly low starting prices. All models share very similar internals between them despite their distinct appearances. We compare and contrast the advantages and disadvantages of each.
