Posted this about the IPad mini 5 in comparison to this one and other iPads like iPad pro :

Hello, and thank you for these great reviews. There is one thing I do not understand thought. As a digital artist, I want great color accuracy both on screen and when printing or creating a video. When you have a look at the delta e of the iPads, most are amazing, yet you look at the picture and although the srgb dots are always in the square, the Adobe rgb and P3 color accuracy seems to be way off in this one.  Many of the other reviews say they were unable to check the Adobe Rgb or the P3 of some Ipads. So looking at the latest Samsung tablets that have slightly greater delta e values. The dots in the pictures are  little more off in the srgb test, yet the Adobe and P3 are way closer. How does that make sense? Does the delta e only take the srgb into consideration. How do I know if the Samsung tablet are not better when it comes to color accuracy if the srgb is only minimally worst than the ipads yet the abobe rgb and P3 in this case seems way better than Ipads, and in many of the other reviews of the iPads the Adobe rgb and P3 are not shown...?

You can not do heat-map on a glossy surface like you do it.
you can see your own heat reflection in it. to make one you need cover device with special paint or film  for Infrared thermographic measurement  or other means and measure this cover temperature. this will be secondary reflection but it will at least be any good.

Because the iPad has apps actually made for a tablet. With the Samsung Tab S4, part of the allure is that you can transform it into somewhat of a Surface style device, complete with a 'desktop' and a taskbar and windows apps. That's great !

Very good analysis. I am not quite sure about battery life as opposed to that of tab s3. On a "reader mode" and low brightness(not minimum brightness) tab s3 gets a maximum of 13-14 hours when no energy saving is enabled. Tab s4 on the other hand gets max about 20 hours, when  no energy saving is enabled. I have both tablets. For every day use like reading or surfing tab s4 gets conssistently 5 hours more of unplugged time.

I paid a lot of money for my S4 as I was assured this is the best tablet on the market.   What a disappointment.
I have the Samsung keyboard/cover as part of the package.
Auto rotate  between landscape and portrait does not work on at least 8 apps I use.
Sat on the keyboard it must be in landscape mode but 8 apps including 'Samsung Smart Things' switch straight to portrait which really is not that smart.
It may have escaped Samsung designers but with the keyboard attached it is all but impossible to use portrait.

The Telegraph
ITV News "
all do it.
Yes the auto rotate is on.
I belatedly did more research and find auto rotate has been a problem with the S4 for over a year.   The fixes shown on various forums do not work.
To add insult to injury pick the thing up to turn it to read portrait usually disconnects the keyboard from the tablet.  Tablet then blanks and you have to re-enter password to continue.
Not impressed.

Looking for the first time to see what has become available since my Galaxy Tab E8. A brighter display outdoors would be good. A thinner bezel is not. It's hard enough to handle my E8. 64GB is nowhere near adequate, although it doesn't matter so much if I can add a memory card..

You didn't answer what limitations there are on SD card port.

Will it make use of the full speed of any compatible card as long as it isn't faster than the internal storage?

Will it utilize the speed even if the card is faster?

The Tab 4 has excellent pen support . Wacom with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity . The pen is also included in the box . It also has some pretty good procreate alternatives for artists like Artflow. An sd card slot , mouse support . What a relief after the iPad 9.7 will all it's limitations

Well.. buy another brand if Samsung doesn't give you what you need. It's not like Samsung will fine you for buying other brands. Personally I try to avoid the biggest companies to try to support the underdogs.

'SAMSUNG....!   Where is the 12.2"  version????????

My 4 year old Galaxy Note 12.2 is still going strong... but it seems you think it has no future even when APPLE and now GOOGLE pick up your ground breaking concept and run with it... what a stupid company you are....

Samsung has upgraded its flagship tablet, which is probably one of the last Android tablets to have both high-end specifications and pen input. However, the Galaxy Tab S4 has some shortcomings. Find out in what areas the Tab S4 falls short and for whom it is a worthwhile purchase in this detailed review.
