I doubt ray-tracing will be a deciding factor for any gamer looking to buy a new GFX card. Cool tech indeed, and if I had a card like that it'll take me less than a second until I launch BFV with RTX in all its glory, but for real gaming I'll stick to 1440p & 120hz. Perhaps 2nd gen performance will be more applicable for competitive / wanna-be competitive gamers.

Battlefield V developer EA DICE revealed to Tom's Hardware that it had toned down some of the ray tracing effects in the game to enable more performance. DICE said that it is looking to hit a comfortable 60 fps on 1080p with ray tracing enabled. The game seems to be optimized for multi-core CPUs but does not support multi-GPU configurations.
