There should be no need for a factory reset. Maybe there's some hardware-related problem? Do you have the 3 GB RAM variant? Mine is the 4 GB/64 GB one and seems to be running fine so far.

Mi A1 is lagging after applying July 2018 Patch. I did factory reset and also Service center performed Factory reset. System is still lagging. I thought applying August 2018 patch may fix the issue. So I applied the August patch and the lagging continues. I called Mi support who could not give me a complaint number. I tried all possible setup tweaks and still the phone is slow on all apps. (It takes 2 minutes to start the app and August patch took 2 hours to apply and I have 100 MBS Airtel FTTH at home)

Any idea?
