I have ordered the P72, and after a few days, I have decided to send it back.
The main rea

  • son is the cramped keyboard keys near the Enter, and the smaller Right Alt, Right Ctrl keys. Touch-typing is a nightmare, I always hit inbetween the keys
  • Also, it has issues with Thunderbolt settings in the BIOS, bricking the machine that cannot be repaired but sent back (1 month of exchange time).

There are also a lot of complaints about the matching Thunderbolt dock, with USB and audio not working when waking the laptop from sleep.

Apart from introducing their thinnest mobile workstation ThinkPad yet, Lenovo updated their most powerful ThinkPad laptop today as well. The new ThinkPad P72 ditches the DVD drive and opts for a thinner chassis, while also offering far more powerful GPU options than any other ThinkPad, up to the Nvidia Quadro P5200.
