The unit reviewed probably has one of the worst possible specs for a Ryzen notebook .
(Ryzen 3 2200U with 1x 4GB DDR4 ram(Single channel), 1366 x 768 pixel display & 1 TB HDD )
The Vega 3 would perform much better in an dual channel memory configuration.

This model is available with (Ryzen 5 2500U with DDR4 ram & 2x 8GB DDR4 ram in the States)

The point system is just alright. Their comparisons comprises of laptops on the same category and the Dell XPS 15 was considered on a different tier significantly higher than this laptop hence their ratings should not affect each other. Same as the logic in school where the Microbiology score should not affect in the computation of the grades for Human Physiology even though they both fall under the "Science" category.

Somehow I feel like the notebookcheck rating strategy is flawed. This is among the worst rating for a laptop recently, yet it still reached 79%, which is only 13% lower than the new Dell XPS 15. The XPS has a 92% rating and is among the top 2 or 3 laptops ever tested here.

Imo, the rating system doesn't use the full spectrum of percent points. Much like students in high school or university who give such bad presentations that a cooked potato would have performed better, yet they still end up with an average or even good grade.

It's really beyond me.

Ryzen 3 undervolted. Dell has equipped its 5000 series with a heavily-throttled Ryzen 3 chip, a dark, low-contrast screen and a storage device that clicks annoyingly. Was this clumsiness or intention?
