To clarify, the headline "Nvidia is set to launch its next-generation 11xx series GPUs on June 15" is misleading.

Tom Hardware reports the launch will be in July, with partners getting GPUs in mid June. Here is the quote from THG:

"According to industry sources who spoke with Tom's Hardware Germany's Igor Wallossek on condition of anonymity, we expect a July release for the Founder's Edition cards with third-party cards to follow in August or September. Laptop versions of the cards will come later in the year.

These sources indicate that Nvidia will be delivering the GPU and memory over to partners on or around June 15th. We expect the company to deliver Founder's Edition Cards to retail sometime in July. New Quadro cards based on Turing could debut at Siggraph in August."

It is important not to misquote other news sources, because when there is no launch on June 15th, some people will think THG was wrong. But THG never said there would be a June 15 launch. In fact, the quoted THG article title is "Nvidia GTX 1180 Expected in July."

I would suggest amending the title of this Notebookcheck article. Then feel free to delete both of my comments.

This is NOT what the THG article says. Launch is slated for July:

"These sources indicate that Nvidia will be delivering the GPU and memory over to partners on or around June 15th. We expect the company to deliver Founder's Edition Cards to retail sometime in July. New Quadro cards based on Turing could debut at Siggraph in August."

Nvidia is set to launch its next-generation 11xx series GPUs on June 15, according to a new report. The first cards on the market will be its own Founders Edition designs, with AIB vendors delivering their first designs starting around August to September.
