Didn't Samsung do this same hilarious/dumb heat pipes=water cooling marketing BS with the S6 or S7? Anyhow, this is clearly a heatpipe cooler, which isn't really news in a high end phone. It looks like a rather beefy one, though, which would be good. Hopefully it contacts the rear shell directly and uses good thermal interface material at all contact points, although with stacked DRAM there's only so much you can do...
