I wouldn't get too excited.  Intel exited the discrete graphics market in the 90s because their solutions sucked.  The i740 was a card most people wouldn't touch.

While their graphics have been good enough for every day use, unless they can pull a rabbit out of their hat with current product evolving - or kept working on Larabee quietly, I'm not THAT excited about Intel coming back into the market.

Of course, I always welcome more competition to the market.  But given that Intel and AMD are working together on CPU/GPU packages, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Intel is said to be working on a discrete GPU solution that will be targeted at PC gamers. The new discrete GPU is being headed up by former AMD Radeon Technologies chief Raja Koduri, lending credibility to the rumor.
