The solution is for a consumer database, so when everyone makes a search all potential problems and probability show up, and it no longer depends on goodwill or chance. The short term answer is: stop buying Samsung devices, don't spend more than $/€ 200 on a phone.

I had same problem after green line of death on samsung s7 edge in denmark bought through POWER after 14 month even though there are 2 years warranty on fabrication faults in EU. Samsung is now dead to me for ever!!! And I have bought for 250 euros each year for 10 years. Do not buy samsung or mobile phones with samsung oled displays such as the new apple X it too have green line problem!!!!

I have a similar problem with Samsung in Poland. My Galaxy S7 (flat) has burnt out pixels (Google maps interface visible on white background). I've been told that such issues are caused by misusing the screen, therefore, it can't be replaced.

Warranty and its snags. The features of a smartphone are one thing. Its durability is another. As a buyer, you would hope that if your smartphone starts having a fault sometime during the first 24 months of its life – one that is not your fault –, the manufacturer would take care of it. But things do not always go the way we want them to. A personal account on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the "pink line of death".
