That's just very predictable. They used to have great line ups of laptops for their money but nowadays, they just don't have that same idea anymore. I was browsing around to get replacement for my asus from 2013 so I browsed Asus's offering first but other brands just have better products with cheaper price .

Asus went haywire since releasing their zen whatever phone. Their laptops are just half arsed in specs and have a very high price tag.

It's always been that way, even before the transformers and early vivobooks. Good ideas initially, then out of nowhere, things get scrapped or pulled out of sales region halfway through production. Final versions riddled with severe performance and QC issues (2016-17 ROG and Zenbooks in particular). Minor decent models not getting enough recognition due to completely non-existent marketing and excessive product localization, and always ending up with even higher prices compared with previous gen. I suspect there's some major lack of communication within inter-departments caused by tension and power grab, like it did with Microsoft.

Indeed, I don't understand many of their choices lately. Like the pushing of the Zenbook Flip and the lack of updates on the classic zenbooks, they're always light on battery life and put out a crapload of vivobooks with crappy screens that nobody wants.

Tommy K - Unfortunately we can't help you with all of those...yet. We have a review of the i7/GTX1050 UX550 already. There is one on the S510ua version of the S15 which has lower specifications but shares the same body as the UN model. The GL703 and Zenbook 13 UX331 reviews are in the pipeline but the UX331 review is still a little while away.

Asus has done too much marketing and too little value lately. The transformer pro is one of the best example. Crazy resolution and terrible battery life, poor cooling and high fan noise etc. So much that they reduced the resolution in the kaby lake version...Let's hope they go back to value and stop trying to have the thinnest 4k device in the world (with terrible battery life, terrible keyboards and no ports)

I'd like to get one of their upcoming products: Zenbook Pro UX550, Zenbook 13 UX331un (MX150), their Vivobook S15 S510un with MX150, or maybe the GL703 SCAR edition (GTX1060).
But it's a lot of waiting and no hands-on or review videos are appearing.
