I have the v30+ and suspect the PWM effect is only below 42% brightness. This was where there is a gross observable change testing with either a moving fan or pencil in front of the screen, as well as with a 1/3200s shutter on another camera phone.
Perhaps LG have been upgraded the display?

PWM test results?

Would be interesting, as Samsung uses PWM for most of their devices that are (AM)OLED

The LG V30 will make a lot of other mobile phone makers squirm as it has so many great features and the price is great too: http://lgv30.yolasite.com/

I said it once and I'll say it again a thousand times, don't leave out the IR port.
This small feature alone could boost up sales up another five per cent.
LG please don't be such a profit greedy like Samsung, cutting corners here and there and phone prices dropped down after a month.
shitty pricey Samsung phones need new leadership the ones that can think straight and know what people like.

Can you please check what subpixel layout does V30's screen have? There's been no reliable source or close-up shots yet, only some guesses based on devices a few years ago.

It may not be a big deal for almost everyone, especially at these insane resolutions, but it's one thing that keeps irking me in devices even now.

Hi there,

In your spec, you mentionned that there is an FM radio, but in this site:

http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_v30-8712.php

They said, they didn't have it... So witch is right?

Also, if there is an radio feature, does it have the RDS system?

Thx...

Per LG's information I believe only the first lens is made of glass instead of all of them.

Also, are both the main and wide angle cameras using OIS? Believe most outlets only mention the main camera having OIS.

I think you need to fact check again.

First Impression. With the LG V30, the Koreans now show a real high-end smartphone, which offers strong video features and an improved dual camera. LG took the complaints about the G6 for the German market to heart and also offers the device with wireless charging and quad-DAC audio here as well.
