I'd be irked at having just bought a 7567, but that much smaller battery (the main selling point for me) and that hideous rear grille on the 7577 prevent me.

Yep. FHD ones are probably all only 6-bit and 45% NTSC color gamut. At least it means I can make general recommendations for the model instead of having to clarify "This would be my top suggestion but only if you either buy one with IPS for the display or are planning to replace the display yourself."

They are probably all 6-bit e-IPS panels.  The existing 6-bit IPS panels on the previous Dell machines didn't receive much praise.

The mainstream Inspiron 7577 gets a graphics boost in addition to Thunderbolt 3 starting at just under $1000 USD.
