First, looking at the design, this particular Omen's body isn't as thin as ultrabook. One of the goal of Max-Q is to implement a high performance laptop in a thin form like Zephyrus, So this seems failed. Second, 1060 isn't as power hungry as 1080, bringing Max-Q design onto it doesn't really make a big difference, but you still gonna sacrifice the performance. It's still interesting to see how's the power consumption and how quiet is the fans, but if the margin isn't really that big, sticking to a 1060 laptop without Max-Q is still a solid choice (you get better performance, so why not ?). And last, the price. This is the most complicated part, but for me if they charged a bigger price than their 1060 equipped laptop, then it's not a bang for a buck. They really need to get a good price and some better aspects in form of the screen, battery life, weight, speaker, etc. because Predator Helios 300 already crushes the market price for a GTX 1060 equipped laptop. So from the initial impression, would i buy this laptop? I don't think so, because GTX 1060 doesn't really worth to get Max-Qed. People already did a compact GTX 1060 in a form of Gigabyte Aero and Razer Blade, it's just the pricing problem for a sake of compactness
