I have this exact laptop for 1.5 year. Display is really poor and badly assembled, not centered and with small stain at one corner. Battery lasts 5 hour, almost always. I had to send it for repair after three months of ownership due to failed mainboard. Case is definitely not as sturdy as the article describes, it tends to bend. Support is a joke, they made fun of me when I asked for a new BIOS fixing one of the CPU issues. They released that BIOS late after both Lenovo and Asus. I can recommend to anyone to avoid this laptop at all cost. I will never ever by any computer from HP again.

The keyboard is NOT standard size, it is miniaturized.

not mentioning the sick idea convert up and down arrows to half keys. This is very annoying.

I have had two of these, last one with FHD touchscreen. It's the worst computer ever! I hate it every day. This is a piece of crap, like mention above, hits all right things but doesn't work out...

Sadly many companys IT-department choose which computer the users should have. They say it's great(and expensive) but they use other HPlaptops themselves....

This review is incorrect.  The keyboard is NOT standard size, it is miniaturized.  I spent about an hour typing on this keyboard fat-fingering adjacent keys over and over and over again before I finally broke down and grabbed a ruler.  My desktop keyboard, all of my Lenovo laptop keyboards, everything else I could find were the same size, but this HP was not.  The distance from A to ; is shrunk  about 1/2", which doesn't even include the additional ~1/2" they cut off of backspace, enter, etc.  It's not enough to see, but it's definitely enough to feel when you're using it, it's incredibly annoying.

So let me get this straight...

Lenovo Thinkpad T570 has a hot-swappable 104 Whr battery that lasts roughly 20 hours,

Dell Latitude 5580 has a slightly smaller 92 Whr battery that lasts roughly 16 hours but can also be equipped with more powerful HQ processors,

and... this HP Elitebook 850 G4 only has a tiny 51 Whr battery, weights about the same, is worse on every other aspect, and costs even more.

Good to know.

A tradition of poor angles. HP sent out its updated EliteBooks to fight for the affection of business users and the hearts and minds of big business purchasing managers alike. Our extensive review is going to reveal whether they will be won over by the EliteBook 850 G4 or whether HP has once again cut corners and skimped on that one particular part the way they already did with its predecessor.
