I've bought the 3/64 version in November 2016 and am very impressed with this device. My usual device usage gets me 2 full days on one charge. I bought a european UGreen QuickCharge 3.0 charges which charges the device really quickly but more importantly I don't need any adapters to use it. So far I must admit that this phone is (almost) perfect. The only downside is that Xiaomi hasn't released kernel sources for it yet. So I'm stuck to MIUI for now. But when kernel sources will be released I'm sure LenageOS or any other close to the AOSP OS will meke it even better. But in these 4 months of usage I should also say that MIUI is a rather good version of Android. It has some very nice features which I missed on my previous phone. Particularly the DND (do not disturb) state, where your phone will not interrupt you, it has the capability that someone that really wants to call you will get through. They just need to call you three times consecutively and the phone will determine that this must be urgent and the phone will actually ring. This is something I particularly like. BTW: I'm using the unofficial Xiaomu.eu version of MIUI which removes all the Chinese stuff so you don't really see any Chinese letters any more after you install it. It becomes more "European" so to speak. I also bought it from the TopOne Digital Store which delivers it in a way so I didn't have to pay any taxes or customs. Perfect. DHL delivery for 320€. PERFECT!

S like Special? Last year, the Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone impressed us with its outstanding price-to-value ratio. This time around we'll take a look at the successor Mi 5s, which comes with more flash storage, a sturdy metal chassis and features - at the time of writing - the fastest available Snapdragon SoC.
