I have just broken my beloved A6 and need a replacement.  I can't find anything apart from the A7 which approaches it.  Having skimmed through your review (I'm not a techy) it makes me realize how hard it is for reviewers to consider the many different uses for a device and how the device deals with them.  I used the A6 for playing card games, Wordament, and learning German with duolingo.  I used it also for internet browsing and emails.  For all these, I found it perfectly satisfactory.  I don't watch videos, nor use the camera, the radio and any games that require speed.  Seems it's made for me.  May not be suitable for other uses, but for me it does the job and I can't find another device as good as that.

I have bought this tablet in june 2018 at Mediamarkt for €149. Is it worth it ?
No. The tablet cannot play my videos back smoothly without jerky movements. The videos are mp4 1920x1080, mp4 1440x1084, also these videos were converted by the tablet when copying from my laptop into a WMV format. They still play choppy. The same videos play smoothly on my Galaxy s4 phone and Lenovo tablet. The memory is almost full after installing only 6 apps!  You cannot transfer 95% of them to the SD card.
This was a disappointment, You expect more from Galaxy.

Very good detailed review of almost every important feature. I just purchased it at Best Buy (was also considering Amazon), after researching several other similar models. Got it in addition to 3 other tablets of different sizes which we have at home, plus 2 Kindles. Going to use it for occasional support in the office, where work computer is prohibited from external connectivity. Typical tasks would be reading news, checking personal email, maps, occasional youtube, facebook, Linkedin, etc.

Easy answer, NO!, you will regret it, anyone else reading take note, the memory on this tablet is pathetic!, most apps do not allow transfer to memory card so the little bit of memory samsung leave you after you buy it will in no way give any enjoyment, so if anyone from Samsung is reading this please fix this major problem by allowing the memory card to be used as internal memory, if not then as a user only buy a small memory card as u will never fill it up anyway or better still don't buy this tablet ever!. If Bluetooth is mission-critical, I suggest to AVOID this tablet! The performance, stability, and range of the bluetooth radio in this tablet is VERY poor compared to the original Tab 4.

The now discontinued Tab 4 blows this right out of the water on bluetooth performance.

Shame really.

Compact. The particularly handy design bestows Samsung's new tablet from the 7-inch category with almost smartphone-like traits. However, tight 8 GB of storage and an entry-level SoC curb the fun. Our test will reveal whether the Galaxy Tab A7 convinces in real world use anyway.
