I would like to STRESS that the promised battery replacement for 229 EUR is not possible in all countries, only in those countries where there is an original apple shop. In my country Austria, there are only apple retail shops. They take up to 500 EUR for battery replacement.

When i was on business trip, I went to london and tried my luck in covent garden, apple said they would take my laptop for replacement, which would take 5-7 days, but are unwilling to send it back to austria.

in my opinion f.. customer service. for sure I dont want to replace the battery for 500 EUR. i will sell my macbook, and will never use apple products again.

The minus of not being able to replace the battery should have much more weight.

I believe it would be wise to wait for a second iteration of this laptop. The Core M chip is obviously far from ideal with its constant throttling, on top of the other (small) problems this laptop has.

Purchased one of these a few days ago but it is going back. The body is making creacking sounds even with the slightest movement. The web cam's resolution is terrible for a device of this price range.

Pardon the pun but these sort of devices are looking more and more like extended Raspberry Pi's.
