Hey , i have tested this model since few days now, with different games, with good results.
I run COD BO3 on 1080p with good frames, and i can assure you there is no throttling. Is the only game that pushes the processor up to 85c-88c.
Is a really fast machine, good display, plays any new demanding games.
As long as u give enough space for the coolers to get air, no throttle will be there.
The only downside on this laptop are the ports . No VGA, no display port......you cannot use more than 1 display on this laptop.

The test fps shown here and a plethora of gaming videos prove that this is more than competent. The only thing that's misleading and unacceptable is your own incompetence.

Maybe you should/should've tried right clicking on a game's icon and hitting use Nvidia high-performance graphics because sometimes, Intel is selected by default.

The final rating of 85% (good) from the review is misleading and unacceptable. This is a gaming laptop that can't run games! The CPU throttling issue is clearly demonstrated in the article's tests. Any recent (demanding) game is unplayable on this thing.

Please change the rating and stop misleading gamers into buying this thing. I'm supposing this is a serious reviews site and will fix the article.

4k upgrade. The Aspire V15 Nitro is a thin computer with a high-performance processor and very good hardware. The device's highlight is its 4k IPS display. Has Acer created the gamer's dream notebook?
