hi guys,

I agree that I'm using the term phablet a bit too liberally here, especially as the device includes no 3G or 4G support, so it's more of a small tablet.. apologies for misleading.

The comparisons are based on screen sizes instead of the class of the devices. I wanted to show that there are 6-inch devices out there with wider features than the Fire HD 6.

As above this is not a phablet at all, comparing conectivity with two phones is a bit misleading.

The Ph in phablet comes from phone.  How is this device then designated a phablet?  Its a phake.

Catching Fire. Amazon are taking ques from Google's successful Nexus lineup by expanding their Kindle Fire series into more sizes. The Kindle Fire HD 6 may be small, but its $99 starting price is a big deal. Is this 6-inch Kindle a sign of more inexpensive phablets to come?
