Im Rahmen der Google I/O 2014 haben sowohl LG Electronics als auch Samsung ihre neuen Smartwatches mit dem Google Wearable OS Android Wear vorgestellt. LG G Watch und Samsung Gear Live kommen Anfang Juli 2014 für 200 Euro.
