Hi,
we have double-checked this: Neither Toshiba in their product information nor the system information we've read out state something about an IPS-display. Manufacturers usually advertise this fact, as it boosts sales - and as said, the display does not report as an IPS monitor. There are clearly IPS displays out there that are better than the A50's TN, as the illumination reduces with steeper viewing angles - but it's far from bad.

I dunno. Compared to Clevo notebooks: less performance, higher price, +/- same weight (compared to some models), some weird sRGB rendering performance. ONly positive I've found is less noise.

are you sure those viewing angles are from this display? This TN would be better than every IPS I have ever seen

Fiepender Begleiter. Prozessoren der Haswell-Generation waren in 15-zölligen Business Notebooks bislang nur selten zu finden. Mit dem Tecra A50 mischt Toshiba den Markt auf – und will gleichzeitig die Probleme des Vorgängers ausmerzen.
