I have been using this Notebook since April 2013. Initially in the first year I had an issue with the battery. The cell degraded very quickly to the point it would not run for more than 30min. I complained to Gigabyte and even contacted the battery company in Taiwan. Gigabyte responded and told me they would replace the battery. I was concerned the batteries were faulty so I asked to purchase a second just in case for $90. I ended up getting 2 replacement batteries for $90 and have been using the first for the last 3 years no issues. This is the toughest and most reliable Laptop I have ever owned. I have dragged it around the world 2 times since purchased and it has never let me down. I added a 240Gb Samsung M.2 to replace the original and installed a 2.5" 480GB Intel 720. I run Mint 18.1 99.9% of the time, but did update the windows install to Win 10. I'll be using this laptop until it dies. Most of my work is Film RAW photos and Video editing on Linux. I even dumped water on it for a family presentation. Let it dry out and good to go. It's been dropped, and had things dropped on it. I just hope when this finally dies that Gigabyte has an equivalent replacement. No one these days gives you a 2yr warranty on anything electronic. This thing was born to run. Comment posted from the very unit.
Fragile notebook, I bought mine and with 3 months got a dead pixel, after 15 months the SSD and MB are gone. Now Gigagyte refuses to assist me, the "2 years Global Warranty" is fake. Don't ever buy a notebook from them.
