Yeah, this article does have a lot of problems. It also has outright incorrect information.
For instance, Capcom is not adding the ability to start a second character. They are adding the ability to start over from the beginning, overwriting your one character. You will still only have one character you can play the game with, but currently there is no way to erase and start over without deleting your save files in the system. They are only adding the ability to do that within the game.
Since the release of Dragon's Dogma 2, there have been some significant performance problems, especially on PC. Another point of criticism is the many microtransactions in the game. With the recently published update roadmap, Capcom has announced how the problems are to be solved.
