This kind of desktop-like amplification power is most welcome to those who have harder to drive headphones or earbuds, but who don't want to purchase desktop DACs and amps. Instead, they simply want a "one device does it all" system.

This is a head scratcher from FiiO. A drop in battery capacity and no advance in the aging operating system. Do we really need more output power in a portable device? The M11 series have more than enough power for most high quality headphones. I suspect this model will be a dud for FiiO. A definite pass for me. No compelling reason to upgrade from my M11S.

The successor to the popular Fiio M11 Plus is now on the horizon and promises even better sound than its predecessor. Thanks to Android, the music player supports all common streaming apps, while Bluetooth aptX HD and Sony LDAC also enable high quality wireless audio.
