Nah. Tidal, ect. did not wake-up one morning and said to themselves; "you know, we shouldn't be evil anymore by keep charging over $200 for our service a year just for our users to listen to music, that most can't even afford due to the global recession"... mindset.
Nah, they realized the next-gen of listeners are NOT the same as the baby-boomers-gen when comes to how to achieve... uhm... stuff, matey. Aargh!
Streaming music in hi-fi quality with up to 24-bit at 192 kHz will soon be 45% cheaper than before with Tidal, just like MQA streaming or the surround sound streaming of Dolby Atmos Music or Sony's 360 Reality Audio. This makes Tidal a much more interesting alternative to Apple Music and Spotify.
