Shure, known for its legendary professional microphones and audio gear, has finally entered the wireless lapel mic market with the launch of the MoveMic system, which Shure claims is the "world's smallest and best-sounding, dual-channel direct-to-phone wireless lavalier microphone system". The MoveMic can transmit audio directly to a smartphone without needing a receiver unit, although a separate receiver is available for use with cameras or audio recorders.
