Sorry, but this simply underscores and highlights the inherent design issues with "internet connected" devices.

While an encrypted stream can be broadcast from behind a camera user/owners firewall to what one would hope to be a 'secure server' out on the vast 'web' that the user/owner might then access with multilayered security protocol's and encryption the reality is that these "data buckets" are prime targets for "bad actors" to set their sights on breaching.

Forgetting for the moment that AWS is an expert at hiding the flaws in their services (as is a few other 'cloud service' providers) Wyze would need to verify/validate their 'cloud data' from multiple access points to determine if it was indeed THEIR servers or AWS at fault for the problems.

More than 24 hours later, not all users have their smart home devices back online. Wyze has blamed the outage on their AWS partner and insists the service outage has been resolved. But still, many users beg to differ.
