This is the new click bait now. Totally lie about the title and blatantly misquote someone. Then just apologize and retract later. By then, they've already made money. For this notebookchat.com is now cancelled.

Quote from: Tristan on January 25, 2024, 16:02:39Everything is amazing but I just want 3.5 mm jack

That is USB technology.  Get a mini USB adapter from C to mini USB. Plug in the C adapter to mini USB and you will see that the USB technology is better.  The 3.5 mill jack was only good for 2 things and 1 was head phones.  Don't need that.  Bluetooth takes car of that.

Only one thing I would like to see come back is the sd card slot.  When they did away with the SD card slot  many people were disappointed.  My self for 1.  With a 512mb sd card you could back up your entire phone.  Everyone now is stating you can do that on cloud.  I don't know about any of the customers that have losed pictures, videos, and such on cloud.  I have.  So boost the sd card slot.  Let your customers put in a sd card from 256mb to terabytes.
So think of the better of the options.  USB versus a 3.5 mm jack.  Bluetooth has alot of vantage points over 3.5mm Jack's.  Only thing I can think to use a 3.5mm for is head phones and a plug n play from phone to car radio.  Then we are back to Bluetooth. So why would a 3.5mm jack be an improvement over Bluetooth and  a sd card slot upto 1 terabytes?  Just talking out loud.
I myself would like to see a sd card slot come back.  You can actually do more with the sd card slot than you can with a 1 way communication 3.5mm jack.

I need sd card with dedicated slot

audio jack has better quality than any BT codec out there. Plus you can use your old wired headsets without plugging in a dongle and not having a possibility to charge the phone. And you can use it as external microphone.
But yeah. Switch the 3.5mm jack for 2.5 balanced and we are golden.

If reviewer got S24 ahead of global release - his review is curated by Samsung. And if review will be bad - he will not get S25 ahead of release. And getting those ahead of release is youtubers' bread and butter, so what kind of review did you expect.

How about they bring back the MicroSD card slot or at least give us 1TB as an option on the smallest phone. Is that so hard for these morons to understand?

Ask yourself, paid premium for a fold phone @ $2.5k SGD and just l year after warranty ends, the WiFi give way. Brought to samsung centre, reason by them due to folding the "fold phone" too much and repair fee is $600 sgd, Will you buy this brand again? Awesome 👏 👏 🤣

Not really. Upon comparing the specs, they are on par with each other. Only thing in Pro 8's favor is 50 mah better battery, and cheaper price. On the S24 Ultra, better screen, better scratch resistant, and better camera. You should really do your research before commenting false facts.

Fildables with flagship lvl cameras would be satisfactory.
VR with XR function, flagship cameras and virtual phone would be ideal.
New sw trick or 1 added sensor will not make my heart skip.

So basically the chairman is admitting that he is clueless about his own products and tries to shift blame on people under him. Is there a particular reason why the chairman is not able to think from customer's perspective himself? Why do other people need to help him make better products that he failed to achieve as a chairman of his own company? I have not owned a samsung product for a very long time, and now I have more reason not to. I am not going to invest in products that the chairman of the company doesn't even know what he is trying to produce.

Quote from: Budd on January 24, 2024, 14:13:25Bruh a Samsung chairman is against Samsung now? They introduced s### tons of AI, how is that more disappointing than iPhone (new colors only)

AI crap is only useful for kids and youtubers. Its just marketing talk to sell you software "features.

I have yet to see what problem does AI on a phone solves for an everyday user. Tweaking photos can only go so far if the photo itself is unsalvageable. And most assistants have proved themselves to be more of an annoyance than a helpful resource for many (Bixby, Siri, Cortana, Alexa, etc).

Besides that, all that AI stuff could have been pushed through software updates. No need for new models for that...

I'm not defending Apple here either, but since the S10 lineup, Samsung has done nothing impressive. They have gone backwards in all of their lineups, even the A series has suffered.

The one thing I like about democracy is everyone has an 'opinion' and is free to express themselves as they wish. Call me crazy but as a dual citizen in these here United States, if it's one thing I have come to treasure the most are FACT based discussions. Whilst as a long time Samsung user one's initial thought would be I would side or be in favor of the brand/product regardless... Wrong I am a consumer first, so if something is off I would comeout and say it straight.I must say it is rather gutsy to base an article on a purpoted leak.  To make the statement that Jae-Yong said these things about the S24 Ultra's innovation is simply put, a rumuor and baseless. 'Rewind' November 2023 at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology Hyung-Kyung President and CEO of device solutions was the speaker at the AI/CE forum, look it up on Google and YouTube also published on reputable platforms and blogs.
'fast forward-current) If you take your time and browse around the various reviews available online it's hard to believe Jae-Yong is disappointed with this device. The S24 ultra alone has set the standard with Corning Gorilla, enhancing the visual experience whilst reducing reflections, Then you have the Titanium with the matte finish combined with the visual enhancement less fingerprint smudges is a good thing and we are not even talking about what's under the hood yet.
I have followed Mrwhosetheboss, MarksTech and Sakitech on YouTube. Being pro iPhone users their honest take has been informative, with MarksTech saying: "Man this phone is making me not want to pick up my iPhone" . This is not to say that one is outright better than the other, but Samsung can give themselves a pat on the back for a job well done and keeping 🍎 honest because what they have achieved is no easy feat. On most reviews the biggest issue I have seen more repeatedly is the issue on the price, and for some it has been the issue of embracing AI functionality many users in the comments of above mentioned reviews have suggested they will wait for the S25 Ultra whilst continuing with their current Galaxy.
Personally for me in seeing the reviews thus far, it's factually difficult to believe there is an ounce of disappointment from the CEO when you have device ambassadors globe trotting to promote the product, also from a feasibility point of view, what would it say about the brand to release a product that they are disappointed about and go one step further investing millions in promotion/production?  Furthermore an online search of any such news is only coming up when this article pops up right at the top of the Google search, "well played mate" but facts 👏🏿 are what the business is all about.
Am just saying CEO, disappointment, leak in the same breath in this case and most importantly at this stage just does not make sense. If said meeting even occurred this would not be surprising had the meeting been held around July/August of 2023 when Apple announced the 15 Pro Max IMO.
