I can't believe how persistent Lenovo is to disappoint their most dedicated customers!! Trackpoint users need dedicated real buttons!

Why do we always have to feel threatened by this irresponsible company? The trackpoint is the single feature that makes me buy a Thinkpad, why do you keep insisting to destroy it???

Looks like I've already purchased my last Thinkpad. They are BUTCHERING the keyboard. I actually used the print screen button regularly on my X1 Nano (Linux). This is such terrible news.

Personally, I will be switching to MacBook Pro. Apple Silicon has been eating apple's lunch for a while now and I already have an iPhone.

Lenovo seems pretty determined to destroy the Thinkpad line and I couldn't care less anymore. At the end of the day, all these corporations care about is making money and my brand loyalty now ends when that brand no longer meets my needs.

Haptic TrackPoint buttons are a joke. One of the big selling points of using the TrackPoint is that it works with wet hands, with gloves, with anything basically. This obviously won't allow that. Also Ctrl Fn instead of Fn Ctrl, eww 🤢

Four pictures have appeared on Reddit that allegedly show the next-gen version of the most prestigious Lenovo ThinkPad laptop, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12. The new model appears to feature a revamped design and a haptic trackpad without dedicated TrackPoint buttons.
