Teslas are renowned for their safety - they practically pioneered the use of the entire front chassis of the car as a crumple zone, due to the lack of a combustion engine at the front, making them safer than any ICE vehicle on the road (which are like 97% of cars).

What makes you think this will be unsafe?

If it's the fact that it was able to stop handgun rounds (from the side), firstly, that tells you nothing about the truck's structural yielding characteristics, as bullets are clearly too small to determine this. Secondly, the craters actually demonstrate the side walls do crumple on impact, in order to "eat" the bullet. If they didn't yield, there would be no/little sign of any impact in the first place.

A heavily pockmarked Tesla Cybertruck has been spotted driving on the highway, with Elon Musk later stating that the vehicle had undergone some serious bulletproof testing. It seems the test went well, as Musk was pleased to announce that none of the rounds had managed to get into the Cybertruck's passenger compartment.
