This is what you get when you trust closed source brands.

Who would have paid i,f from one reason or another, this would resulted in a house catching fire?

Before this, they had another "software" problem that caused some failing prints that destroyed lots of hotends. (The fail detector didn't work)

And another software problem that makes the onboard camera look like it's from 2002

A cheap open source printer using octoprint on a fully local network would never do something like this.

But hey! Bambu is a fast printer so you can brag about that quick 3dbenchy print :))

Not "must be cloud connected" only if you wish use cloud (for phone remote access etc.)

This is why I hate "everything must be cloud connected". It's dumb, anti-consumer and borderline criminal.

A cloud server error on August 15th caused many Bambu 3D printers to unexpectedly start print jobs at night, creating misshapen messes, damaging printers and raising safety concerns. The company has responded with an apology and explanation, and it has promised that the error is being fixed.
