The creaking base panel is, unfortunately, also present in the 14inch variant, when the machine has warmed up. It is very annoying, makes the device feel cheap and it really is a pity that Lenovo did not simply include a screw standoff in the middle of the panel to offset the flexibility of the material used.

Sadly - no. HDMI is limited to 4K@30Hz, but you can use USB-C for up to 8K (so 7680x4320) @60 Hz without issues as it has DP 1.4. This is Lenovo's PSREF for the device and it is really weird how they nerfed HDMI here:
